"IanZ - limited-slip indifferential" (ianz-limited)

Personally I like it a lot. It’s a clean, fresh, cohesive design. The whole “Juke-face” aesthetic at the front is chic right now, and they’ve mixed it with equal parts Citroen C4 Cactus and Ferrari F12, with good results. I think this will be a big stepping stone for Chinese cars in the U.S. It’s one of the few Chinese cars I can think of that isn’t a copy of an existing design. It has details that remind me of other cars, (the front fascia, the D-pillar is slightly Citroen-ish) but on the whole it’s original.
I think the side would better without the black plastic, with the divot extending into the front quarter panel.
I absolutely love the taillights, another unorthodox shape.
From the bigger wheels I assume this is a higher trim level, and while I don’t like the different lower front & rear fascias, there is something I want to talk about:
Mother.
H*ckin’.
Copper.
TRIM.
Look at it! It’s beautiful. I’ve loved copper trim since the Peugeot RCZ R, and it’s finally here on a production car.
And it’s on the CMA platform developed with Volvo, so it should be good as well.
And the sedan concept they brought along has purple accents.
PURPLE
. I’m ready for the future.

I think it looks like a mishmash of Juke and Cayenne, and it really needs to lose that fender “vent” thing, but it’s not terrible.

Cohesive? That beam/line/dam/weir/berm going down from the A pillar to the top headlight thing hardly looks cohesive to me.

I like it from the front wheels back. That fascia just looks like a frog.

Front looks awful, the rest of it looks pretty good. Has vibes of Jeep Cherokee, Porsche Macan, and Kia Sportage, all combined into that front fascia, and it just looks horrid.
I’m seeing a bit of Audi Q3 or Q5 and Saab 9-4X in the tail lights, which if you put them together, would look pretty darn good.
The wheels on the top one look a little bit too big with that style of wheel, while the ones on the second one look really good. Yes, I subscribe to the idea that silver wheels with black trim can look good.
I agree, the copper trim is awesome. I’m a big fan of copper and copper trim. You know those pots and pans with the lids that have a copper ring on the handle knob? I like those a lot.
I’d happily put copper colored pinstriping on a black vehicle. Having copper trim on a car? Awesome.
But, the important question...what about the interior?

Not a fan of the headlights on top of the fender. Feels wrong. Feels mis-mashed with a design by committee vibe where everyone got one part.
Lacks cohesiveness.

Typical Chinese design, throw a bunch of shit on the wall from a bunch of other vehicles. I think it’s awful .

Overall, looks pretty good. The front is very close to looking good, but for some reason just isn’t quite there. I feel like the chrome strip over the grille is wrong. Not that it should go away, but as it is it is wrong.

They copy cars, not exactly a secret. My wife is Japanese and I lived there for years.
